This is just a quick update, and I actually do have a queue of journal topics waiting for some spare time (you can stop laughing now), but this was too good not to pass on: an anime eyes font, courtesy a tutorial I stumbled on dealing with how users on GoPets are making these really funky anime eyes for their pets. I put some on Rosemary. They are creepy but fabulous -- and look great on the pets. I remember when I first saw this cat visit my desktop last summer, entirely tricked out with these eyes and floaty Card Captor Sakura-style wings, Hello Kitty earrings, and who knows what else -- what players are doing with the customization on this stuff is really pretty amazing. Any of you who have been away for awhile but enjoyed the game before, now might be a good time to take a second look, and claim up some GoLand while you can.

New article up on the Escapist. It's about football and why you should like it. Yes. The next article, which probably won't appear for another month, is going to be a doozy.

In other news, I will be at Readercon, causing trouble with pantlessjohnny and probably trying to make boonofdoom laugh during his reading. I started going to Readercon in 2005, at Odyssey, and it seriously will be one of the things I miss the most about the east coast when I eventually move on.
